Savage Aromatics is run by Mandy, one of the fabulous local producers in our shop in Southam. Mandy has a background in complimentary therapy, aromatherapy, and skin care and has put her skills and knowledge into action to create some beautiful natural soaps and skin care products. These soaps cleanse, moisturise, and sooth your skin, with each soap being specially formulated to leave your skin feeling clean, soft, and radiant. They also smell great too!
The main core products are her natural soap bars of which she has two main categories: vegan friendly soaps, and buffalo milk soaps. The soaps are described as natural because the ingredients in the vegan soaps are from plants, vegetables and minerals and all the soaps contain no palm oil or man made chemicals. If something is made artificially in a lab, i.e. compounds which are put together which don't occur in nature, then these will not be in the Savage Aromatics Soaps. These artificial compounds are often referred to as 'natural' colourants like micas or 'natural' fragrance oils. These will not be found in Savage Aromatics soaps, meaning that we can proudly say Savage Aromatics soaps truly are natural, and have no artificial or man made products added.
Alkali is used to saponify the oils to turn it into soap, but no alkali remains in the final bars. To ensure this, the formulas are very carefully calculated with their chemist, so the end product is a natural soap.
The soap making process naturally produces moisturising glycerine which nourishes your skin. This is one of the great reasons that makes these soaps feel so lovely to use. The natural ingredients include oils, butters, clays, pure essential oils, and botanical flowers, along with buffalo milk in the buffalo milk range of soap bars. The soaps are handcrafted in small batches using the old fashioned cold process method, which means that the soap batter is not heated by any external means, and can take 4 weeks to cure or more.
Mandy also produces a range of bath dust which is a powder form of bath bomb, meaning you can add as much or as little as you like to your bath.
